Venezuela and Russia Sign Agreements in the Sphere of Energy, Economics and Technology

Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov and Venezuelan Vice President for Economics and Finance Tarek El Aissami signed a number of agreements in the field of energy, economy, and technology during a meeting in Caracas. This was announced on Saturday by the press service of the Presidential Administration Nicolas Maduro, TASS reported.

“We examined all topics, there are new projects in the economic sphere, in the exchange of technologies with the support of Russian entrepreneurs,” the press service quoted the head of state after a meeting with Borisov.

According to Maduro, the parties also signed new agreements in the field of agriculture and “extended the contracts for the provision of military-technical support” to Venezuela by Russia.

According to the authorities of the South American republic, a total of 264 agreements are currently signed between the countries.
