Russia to Sign Agreement with India for AK-203 Production

Russia is set to sign a contract with India for the licensed production of the assault rifles Kalashnikov AK-203 7.62 mm in the near future, Valeria Reshetnikova, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation press secretary revealed at the EEF-2021 (Eastern Economic Forum), TASS informed.

Reshetnikova stated that they are expecting to reach an agreement and sign the contract soon, adding that the issue regarding the royalties payment by India still needs to be dealt with.

The sixth EEF-2021 is held in Vladivostok from 2nd to 4th September in a combined format (online and in-person). The main theme of the programme is “New Opportunities for the Far East in a Changing World.” The other programmes that EEF consists of are the Far East Street, EEF Junior, and Youth EEF.
