Russian President Vladimir Putin is waiting for a report on providing the country with opportunities for paid vaccinations against coronavirus for foreigners by end of June, and by July 15 – on organizing vaccinations for labor migrants.
The corresponding instructions of the head of state following the results of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) were published on Sunday on the Kremlin’s website.
“To ensure, for the prevention of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the possibility of vaccination on a reimbursable basis of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the territory of the Russian Federation, while providing for the observance of sanitary and epidemiological requirements,” says one of the recommendations.
In addition, by July 15, Putin ordered to organize the vaccination of foreign migrants in Russia, “identifying the sources of funding for the relevant activities.”
Speaking on June 4 at the SPIEF plenary session, Putin said that Russia will create all the necessary conditions for foreign citizens to be vaccinated against coronavirus on its territory.
