Russia Records 10,633 New COVID-19 Cases in Last 24 Hours

Over the last 24 hours in Russia, a total of 10,633 new cases of coronavirus were registered in 85 regions, the operational headquarters for combating COVID-19 said. On the eve of the increase was 9,623 people. The total number of infected reached 134,687 people.

The daily increase in Russia is the highest since the beginning of the pandemic. More than half of the new patients (50.3%) did not have clinical manifestations of the disease, Kommersant reported.

58 people died in a day (57 a day earlier). A total of 1,280 people died from COVID-19 in Russia. During the day 1,626 people recovered, in total – 16,639 people.

In Moscow, 5,948 cases were registered per day. Most are residents from 18 to 45 years old (39.2%) and from 46 to 65 years old (36%). 10% are people from 66 to 79 years old, 5.5% are over 80 years old. Among the new cases of children, 9.3%.
