Russia Reports 669 Coronavirus Deaths in One Day

The number of coronavirus deaths in Russia increased by 669 in the last 24 hours, up from 652 the day before. This is a record number since the epidemic began. So far, 135,214 individuals have passed away across the country.

According to the data given by the crisis center, the relative mortality rate continues at 2.45 percent, TASS reports.

There were 111 deaths in St. Petersburg, 27 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 26 in the Irkutsk Region, 22 in Buryatia, and 20 in the Krasnodar Region.

Coronavirus recoveries in Russia increased by 16,356 in the last 24 hours, the largest figure since February 20. By today, a total of 5,000,393 individuals have recovered.

According to the crisis center, roughly 90.7 percent of the total number of sick persons has recovered.

In St. Petersburg, another 1,980 patients were able to recover. There were 1,723 recoveries in the Moscow Region, 278 in the Voronezh Region, 251 in the Sverdlovsk Region, and 221 in the Omsk Region.
