Ukraine plans to produce its own vaccine against COVID-19, Izvestia TV channel reports.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Health promised to start producing the drug next year, with installation of the first production line being constructed in the city of Kharkov.

In 2020, the head of the political council of the Opposition Platform – For Life party, Viktor Medvedchuk, said that Ukraine could release Sputnik V.

However, Kyiv refused to cooperate with the Russian Gamaleya Center, and as a result, Ukraine started the vaccination process as one of the last countries in Europe.
